Red pepper sorbetto talk of the show at CPMA
Made from freshly-juiced Windset Maestro™ sweet bell peppers, with a touch of heat from their Gusto™ hot peppers, “Sorbetto Windsetto” captured the flavour, freshness and colour of Windset products. Plus, it presented a sample that was not the usual veg on a toothpick. (A shout out to Chris at Mario’s Gelati in Vancouver who crafted the superb sorbetto for us – you’re a genius!)
In the commodity world that is fresh produce, it is always Goal #1 to show there’s more to a Windset product than just an ingredient. Each of Windset’s produce lines has a particular flavour profile, a set of culinary notes that works well in gourmet entrées, desserts or cocktails. The sorbetto showed attending exhibitors, buyers and industry leaders what fresh thinkers are doing with fresh produce.
And, as if CPMA guests needed more encouragement to visit Windset Farms’ booth, lager from Alberta’s Big Rock Brewery was served to anyone wearing a Windset “Friends in Freshness” button during Windset Happy Hour. Visitors included a surprising number of the competition…
