Surrey Women's Centre Faces of Courage Microsite and E-Book 2016
Surrey Women's Centre marked National Victims of Crime Week 2016 with a battle cry of #shoutout4survivors while presenting stories of women who "told someone". The women share how that ultimately helped them to heal, and in turn gave them strength to help others.
As in past campaigns, Tugboat Group provided original photography, a microsite complete with galleries, stories and milestones to explore, as well as generating the concept of “shoutingout” to survivors... and all the people who listen to and support them. Each woman featured was photographed on pink beside her own handwritten declaration of who she first told.
Our excited client went one step further, supporting the campaign materials by sharing scores of selfies on social media with hand-written #shoutout4survivors messages on repurposed pieces of the pink photo backdrop, and challenging their followers to do the same!
Vibrant colour and emotional sound clips, together with the women's personal stories, created a unified and affecting campaign message.
In their own words
New and exciting this year was the addition of sound to the inspiring stories of these survivors. Tugboat coordinated, edited and produced sound clips of the women sharing their stories, capturing key messages in their own voices which added a strong emotional complement to the stories.
Short videos combining each woman's voice, face, handwritten message, together with campaign branding, were shared extensively on social media and in the press.
